Do you like the ombré look but you don’t know how to achieve it with your lipsticks? Well, then keep on reading because By Terry has solved this problem by creating this stunning TWIST-ON LIP dual lipstick. As the word dual says there are 2 colours in one lipstick. I have the shade 6 Nude & Burgundy which is very versatile but it comes in other shades too. I highly recommend picking the one that compliments best your complexion as well as the makeup colours that you use regularly. Please keep also in mind the colours of your outfits.
As you can see on the packaging By Terry shows you 3 different looks (mono, duo and ombré). The texture is absolutely amazing. It’s very creamy and glides on like a dream. The first time you put it on it seems a little bit awkward. Depending on the look you want to achieve you need to turn the lipstick which can be a bit tricky at the beginning.
For the mono look choose the light or the dark shade and fill in your lips. If you want the duo look use the lighter shade on your upper lip and the darker one on your lower lip. For the ombré look outline the centre of your upper and lower lips with the darker shade and apply the lighter shade on the rest of your lips. Here you can really go crazy and do whatever you fancy.
The colours blend beautifully with no effort and they have a nice shine. This lipstick has a light fragrance which I adore. The staying power is around 4 hours if you don’t eat and drink and on me, it doesn’t bleed.
Price: approx. $ 34.00 / £ 26.00 / CHF 36.00 / EUR 29.50 for 0.027 oz. / 0.8 g of product.
It’s an excellent lipstick, very comfy to wear, and I highly recommend it if you want to be on trend right now with the ombré look. The shape allows you a hassle-free precise application which would be rather difficult to achieve with 2 regular lipsticks. In the beginning, you might struggle a little bit but if you persevere you’ll very quickly get used to it.
If the ombré look isn’t your cup of tea then I would say don’t buy it. Don’t get me wrong it’s a top-notch lipstick but if you like to use only one colour I don’t really see why you should buy a dual lipstick. You’re better off with a regular one. Sorry By Terry but I’m always honest.
This is, of course, my own opinion based on my skin type, and therefore I can’t guarantee that you’ll get the same result.
It isn’t sponsored. I bought the product myself and paid for it with my own money.
