Here you can hardly see the tiny brown grains but if you go on Francesca’s blog you can see them much better.

Hello everyone!

Before I even start writing this review I’ve to say a big but very big thank you to Francesca from https://francypota.wordpress.com/. After having read her review (if you speak Italian you can read it here or even if you don’t understand Italian look at the two pictures because she did a much better job than me in capturing and showing the texture of this mask). In her pictures, you can clearly see the tiny brown grains in the mask which my camera didn’t pick up very well. I’ve been interested in this treatment for a long time but I wasn’t sure if I should give it a go but after having read her review I decided to buy and try it. I’m so happy I did.

If this GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD HYDRATING TREATMENT mask isn’t glamour pure then I really don’t know. The packaging is made out of cardboard but it’s still so elegant and the silver writing sparkles and glows like crazy when it hits the light. I would say the jar is made out of plastic but I’m not sure. Definitely, it’s not glass. Think Mother’s Day. Wouldn’t this be a great gift for your mum, especially if she’s fond of caramel ice cream?

When you open the jar you can smell coconut and caramel. If you live in Switzerland go to Migros and buy the Creme d’Or Classic Caramel Ice Cream and tell me if it doesn’t smell the same. So yummy, but please don’t eat it because it’s meant to go on your face (LOL). However, should you or your mum hate this smell then I don’t recommend buying the GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD HYDRATING TREATMENT because the scent is quite intense and it’s noticeable even when you’ve removed the product.

As I wrote in a previous blog post I know that I’m still a little bit old-fashioned when it comes to masks because nowadays everybody is talking about sheet masks. Sonja, stop it, you’ve rambled enough! Your readers want to know how this product performed and not if you’re old-fashioned or trendy (Sorry, this was my inner voice). OK, I guess it’s time to have a proper look at the product. Shall we?

At this point, I think everybody knows how it smells. Right? Besides the smell, I like the texture which is cool, wet and some kind of oily. It glides on like a dream. You don’t need a very big amount and therefore a jar will last you a long time. I only used it on my face and not on the neck and décolleté. After 20 minutes I massaged the mask into my skin but there was still too much left and I rinsed it off with lukewarm water. The instructions tell you to wipe off the excess and/or massage into the skin. My skin is oily/combination and after having massaged it into my skin I had to remove it with water or it would’ve been way too much to leave on the skin and apply makeup. If your skin is very dry perhaps it could work but for me, it didn’t. Next time I’ll use a little bit less and in the evening so that it can sink in during the night.

This GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD HYDRATING TREATMENT left my skin very hydrated, supple and not greasy/oily. For me definitely an item that I’ll repurchase in the future and a new entry to my staple products. Thank you again Francesca. Without your review, I honestly don’t know if I would’ve taken the risk to buy it. One thing is sure: I don’t regret having bought it. Grazie mille Francesca.

You can buy the standard size (that I’m showing you) 1.7 oz. / 50 g jar for approx. $ 58.22 / £ 42.00 / CHF 59.90 / EUR 49.95 or the mini size 0.5 oz. / 15 g jar for approx. $ 24.00 / £ 16.00 / CHF 19.90 / EUR 19.95. Yes, this is certainly not the most affordable mask in the world but it’s an excellent product and the quality is top notch. If you’re looking for a hydrating mask I can highly recommend this one but please only if you like the smell of coconut and caramel otherwise you’ll hate first the product and then me. I’ve warned you.

  1. Ciao Sonja!!

        Buona serata e ancora grazie!
