Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel

Hello everyone!

This blog post is about the CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING GEL which is my favourite Summer moisturizer for oily/combination skin. We with an oily/combination skin sometimes think that we don’t really need to moisturize our skin when the temperatures rise because our skin already produces a lot of oil, but actually, the opposite is the case.

If you’ve large pores you probably have an oily/combination skin. This type of skin looks shiny due to an excess of sebum. What is sebum? It simply is the natural fatty, oily substance produced by our body’s sebaceous glands that we need to keep our skin and hair soft and healthy.

Pay attention when using face cleansers. If they’re too harsh they can strip away excess oil and your sebaceous glands will produce more sebum and aggravate the problem. Always bear in mind that even oily/combination skin needs hydration. The goal here is to help replenish vital oil and water requirements to keep the skin well balanced without any excess shine.

Having said that please don’t buy the richest cream that you can find on the market for an extremely dry skin. If you do that after a few days your face will probably be covered with pimples. No, look instead for a light oil-free moisturizer for oily/combination skin and put it on morning and evening. I can highly recommend this CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZING GEL. I started using it in 2015 and this is now my third bottle.

If you want to buy it pay attention because you’ll also find the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing lotion which is for very dry to dry combination skin. This can be a little bit confusing and you could easily pick up or order online the wrong product. The lotion is too rich for me, I prefer the GEL.

The gel is unscented and has a nice texture, not too dense and not too fluid. I’ve the Jumbo size of 6.7 fl. oz. / 200 ml that comes with a pump. When you put the gel on, you’ll feel a slight cooling sensation. The gel gets absorbed very quickly. It leaves your skin supple and well hydrated. You can straightaway put your primer and foundation on.

My Jumbo size isn’t always available but you can buy the 4.2 Fl. Oz. / 125 ml size which also has a pump. Price approx. CHF 76.90 / $ 27.00 / £ 31.00 / EUR 53.00. If you prefer you can buy the 1.7 Fl. Oz. / 50 ml tube for approx. CHF 43.90 / $ 14.50 / £ 18.00 / EUR 28.50. Wow, what a crazy price difference between the States and Switzerland! Unbelievable, but I still highly recommend this gel because it’s an excellent product.

This is, of course, my own opinion based on my skin type, and therefore I can’t guarantee that you’ll get the same result.

It isn’t sponsored. I bought the product myself and paid for it with my own money.

Which moisturizer are you currently using? Please let me know in the comments below. I’d like to hear your opinion.

Thanks for reading my post, and have a wonderful time.

    1. Yes, that’s true. It’s very cooling and light without leaving a sticky or greasy residue.
