DIORSHOW FUSION MONO what a show-stealer! Are you looking for an eyeshadow that will make you stand out? Well, then don’t look further because this amazing eyeshadow could be the right one for you. Do you remember this long-wear eyeshadow DIORSHOW FUSION MONO? It was the Hype back in 2013 when Dior launched it on the market. Everybody went mad about this product (which is now permanent in the collection) and you hardly couldn’t find one. I wanted this white shade called Lune 001 very badly but it was sold out everywhere so I wasn’t able to get it. Then – because it was so vital for me to have this eyeshadow – I forgot about it and in 2015 I saw it again on Harrods website and finally ordered one.
This glass pot is now my second one and I bought it last year at Manor Switzerland. First of all, it’s such a beautiful and universal shade. The sparkle is insane. No doubt, when you wear this eyeshadow you’ll be noticed. So if you’re not keen on shimmering eyeshadows than I don’t think you’ll like this one. However, if, like me, you’re a glitter Queen than you’ll adore it. Secondly, it’s very long-wearing with zero scratchiness. You might experience some fallout but believe me, it’s only a tiny bit. My pictures don’t really show the sparkle very well. In real life, it’s much more noticeable.
Texture and where to apply the DIORSHOW FUSION MONO Eyeshadow
The texture is very lightweight and sort of a cushiony gel-foam but not too soft. I like to apply it with my fingers. When you see it in the pot, you think that it’s a white eyeshadow with micro glitter in it, but when applied to your eyelids it appears transparent with tons of sparkle – similar to a diamond. You can also put it on top of another eyeshadow to make it more suitable for an everyday look. It’s entirely up to you and how sparkling you want your makeup to be. I put it only on my eyelids after having used a navy blue eyeliner pencil and a little bit on my cheekbones as a highlighter.
You can use this Lune shade as a highlighter too but just bear in mind that you’ll be the star. Even I, known as the glitter Queen, wouldn’t apply it as a highlighter on my cheekbones to go to the supermarket or even worse to go to somebody else’s party because it’s not nice to steal the show. However, if you’re planning your own wedding, birthday party or any event where you’re going to be the most important person then go for it and apply it on your cheekbones if that is what you like. No doubt you’ll be the centre of attention. Otherwise, limit it to your eyelids perhaps over a matte eyeshadow and you’ll be able to rock it without attracting too much of attention. As you can see I applied only a tiny bit on my cheekbones. In the last picture, you can see it better.
Here is what I found about this eyeshadow on the Dior website:
A weightless texture that blends into the skin and dresses the eye in brillant colour. In a single step, it creates an even and intense iridescent matte finish for a professional makeup effect.
Take up the eyeshadow in delicate strokes with the applicator.
Apply two ways for two different effects
– Soft fusion: applied with the fingertips, the texture blends with the skin to create a light veil of colour.
– Bold fusion: using the applicator, the finish is intensified to reveal pure matte colour”.
Price and my recommendation
It isn’t sponsored. I bought the product myself and paid for it with my own money.
